This year is the 18th year of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Programme, which has recognised over 1,663 students and awarded over $800,000 in scholarships and prizes.  Moreover, the programme has grown significantly from the initial 31 students that were recognised from all Nassau schools, to the now 118 students that are recognised from schools from Abaco, Andros, Bimini, Berry Islands, Cat Island, Crooked Island, Eleuthera, Exuma, Grand Bahama, Inagua, Long Island, New Providence, Rum Cay and San Salvador.

“We would like to thank the Water and Sewerage Corporation for their kind donation in helping to promote and award excellence,” said Daxton Bethel, of the Bahamas Primary School Student Foundation President.

WSC extends their best wishes to all the nominees in this year’s Primary School Student of the Year Programme, and look forward to supporting the programme in the future. To learn more about the programme visit their website at http://www.bahamaspstoy.org/
